from Mary Bennett:
In the next Canadian Unitarian newsletter we're posting the following notice.
I always like to have a photo in case there's space, and we can always use them for the webpages anyways.
Do any of you have photos of your youth group (or any youth in your congregation) "doing" social justice work?
Send to me at mary@cuc.ca if you do. Thanks.
What Issues do Youth Care About?
Chris Michell, National Social Justice Coordinator is trying to answer that question by asking youth to fill out a short online survey on their views on Social Justice (SJ). The objective is to hear from at least every youth group in the country, and 33 responses have been received to date. Some early findings: SJ is an important part of UUism for Youth; youth feel their congregation is doing enough SJ work but their youth group is not; and the majority of SJ projects are on Human Rights issues.
Do the survey online at www.cuc.ca/youth/socialjustice
